Waypoint
Turning a task board into a journey the whole team actually checks.
Waypoint lives where a team’s projects already live, in Monday.com, Jira, Asana, Notion and more, and draws the work as a live journey everyone can follow. I took it from the first idea through positioning, product design, integrations and launch.
Status
Live now, with integrations for Monday.com, Jira, Asana, Notion and more. Early access is open.

Challenge
Every status meeting asks the same three questions: where are we, what’s in the way and where are we going? Project tools hold the answers, but nobody can see them at a glance. A spreadsheet needs a squint. A kanban board shows work moving and still can’t tell you how much road is left.
What I did
- Framed the product around those three questions, so the screen answers them before anyone has to ask.
- Set one rule that keeps it honest: only finished tasks move the traveler. Work in progress and blocked work stay visible but don’t earn distance, so 47% means 47% done.
- Designed five themed worlds (Lunar, Alpine, Abyss, Forest and Classic) that read the same project, so the scenery changes and the numbers never do. Then split them into included and premium tiers.
- Built it to live where the work already lives. Waypoint reads boards in Monday.com, Jira, Asana, Notion and more in place, so nothing gets copied or exported, and teams map their own statuses to done, in progress and blocked.
- Added an MCP server, so AI assistants can read the journey, list blockers, close tasks with permission and draft the client update.
- Designed a client view that leaves internal notes behind and works as well on a phone as on a wall screen.
- Wrote the positioning and built the launch site around a working demo and an early-access list.
